Prophecy Update 2017-07-30

Sunday, 30 July 2017

-For today’s prophecy update I want to do something just a little bit differently than the usual looking into weekly current events. -After seeking the Lord in prayer concerning a heaviness of heart on my part, God ministered in a powerful and profound way. -Profound in the sense that what’s happening and what’s coming because of what’s happening is according to His perfect plan.

-I realize this notion of everything happening being according to God’s perfect plan may sound like a firm grasp of the obvious. -However, in my observation, it seems that there’s a lot of angst within the body of Christ specifically related to Bible prophecy. -I’ll take it a step further and suggest there’s not just angst, but worse yet, anger amongst Christians within the Body of Christ.

-One example of this is the angst and the anger amongst Christians concerning the upcoming signs in the sun, moon and stars. -Namely, the eclipse in August and alignment in September and the vitriolic disagreement and division that has sadly ensued. -It’s for this and many other reasons like this that I find myself grieving in my heart because I know the devil is behind all of it.

-Another example of this is the recent events surrounding the Temple Mount, and those who excoriate others for differing views. -It’s one thing to believe the Temple Mount is not the actual location of the Jewish Temple; it’s another to dismiss it out of hand. -I’m in no way implying that we shouldn’t encourage respectful discussion, it’s that it should never descend into carnal division.

1 Corinthians 3:4 (NKJV) — 4 For when one says, “I am of Paul,” and another, “I am of Apollos,” are you not carnal?

-Here’s another example of said carnal division within the church and it is perhaps the most concerning of all, at least currently. -It’s that of the split amongst Christians when it comes to the current president of the United States of America Donald J. Trump. -You’ll forgive me but in the 35+ years that I’ve been walking with Jesus, I’ve never seen anything like the division over this man.

-While I certainly don’t want to belabor this point, I do think that it’s incumbent upon me to provide just one more example of this. -It’s my own personal belief that this particular example without exception has caused the most division within the church today. -Of course what I’m speaking of is the sound doctrine of the rapture of the church; taking place before the seven year tribulation.

-The common denominator with all four of these examples is that all of the above have absolutely nothing to do with salvation. -Here we are, and I include myself, arguing over nebulous matters, while over 120,000 people die every day, 365 days a year. -This means that at the end of todays update, over 6,000 people will have taken their last breath here, and entered into eternity.

-When the Lord impressed upon me to start doing these prophecy updates 11-years ago, it wasn’t to create this carnal debate. -Rather, it was because we were entering a period of human history the likes of which we have never seen nor would see again. -It seems that the enemy has been met with a measure of success by cunningly getting Christians to do his dirty work for him.

2 Timothy 2:23–26 --23 Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 24 And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 25 Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.

John 10:10 (NKJV) — 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

-Lest one think that I’ll cower or falter in the face of this, let me hasten to say that I have a strengthened resolve because of this. -Simply put, I don’t have permission from the Lord to stop doing that which He has clearly called me to in doing these updates. -Perhaps this is as good a time as any to reiterate my commitment to you as a church that I will run this race through to the end.

-The purpose of these prophecy updates is for the Christian get ready for Jesus and for the non-Christian to get right with Jesus. -Let’s keep the main thing the main thing and the main thing is Jesus, the only name under heaven by which we must be saved! -It’s for this reason that I’ve been ending the prophecy updates with what I hope is a childlike simple presentation of the Gospel.

-I do so again today by way of the ABC’s of salvation and explain simply how to be saved, and become a born again Christian.

A is for Admit you’re a sinner – Romans 3:23 says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The B is for Believe. Romans 10:9-10 says if you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. The C is for Call. Romans 10:9-10 also says if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:13 says that all who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.
