Prophecy Update 2017-04-23

-For today’s prophecy update we’re going to take a quick trip around the world, as it were, as we tour significant developments. -In so doing, I’m hoping to argue the case that everything taking place globally has Israel, specifically, Jerusalem at the center. -As such, the geopolitical developments, just within the last couple of weeks I truly believe have profound prophetic implications.

We’ll start right here at home with this Hawaii News Now report concerning how that a Hawaii panel is asking the state to prepare for a North Korea attack. According to the report, Hawaii lawmakers want state officials to update plans for coping with a nuclear attack as North Korea develops nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles that can reach the islands. …The aim is to get state funding to re-equip Cold War-era fallout shelters. The resolution that moved forward Thursday said that in 1981, Oahu had hundreds of fallout shelters --"many stocked with medical kits, food, and sanitary kits." But in later years, funding dried up, and stocks were thrown out. Hawaii Emergency Management Agency Executive Officer Toby Clairmont showed lawmakers a response plan from 1985 that hasn't been updated since. He says there's also a need to educate the public about what they can do for themselves.  The resolution next goes to the Finance Committee.

From Hawaii to North Korea we go to China, and the Fox News article about how gas stations in North Korea's main city have restricted services, and the speculation is that China is reducing the supply. This because North Korea relies heavily on China for its fuel supply and Beijing has reportedly been tightening its enforcement of international sanctions aimed at getting Pyongyang to abandon its development of nuclear weapons and long-range missiles.

If you’re wondering how we get from Hawaii to North Korea and China to Israel, you need look no further than to this Israel Hayom article in which China is now urging the correcting of what they term an 'historical injustice' in order to allow Palestinian state. In it, they quote the Chinese Foreign Minister as saying that Palestinians are still being prevented from having their own independent country. The article goes on to then quote China's Special Envoy on the Middle East Issue, on Friday during an interview in the Egyptian capital Cairo as saying, “The world needs to find a comprehensive solution for issues in the Middle East since the complicated situation in the region is affecting peace and stability for the whole world…

We now go from China to France on the heels of yet another Islamic State terrorist attack on Thursday, which is just prior to a very important election. On Friday, The Times of Israel quoted a French Jewish leader, as saying that there is a “real danger” that France’s democracy will be destroyed by its next president, namely, Marine Le Pen who, according to the Times, recently said France “was not responsible” for the murder of Jews whom French police helped round up for the Nazis. She has also vowed to ban kippas and the right of French citizens to have an Israeli passport – prohibitions she said were necessary to enforce similar limitations on Muslims. She has however softened the National Front’s image since taking over in 2011 the leadership from her father, the party’s founder Jean-Marie Le Pen, who is a Holocaust denier and inciter of racial hate against Jews. However, Le Pen was not singled out, such that Melenchon is another “dangerous candidate” as he is a supporter of a blanket boycott of the Jewish state. In 2014 he praised participants of violent protests against Israel, calling their behavior exemplary despite the fact that some of them tried to burn down several synagogues. He condemned French Jews who demonstrated peacefully in support of Israel, suggesting their actions were tantamount to taking up arms “for a foreign country.”

From France, we go to my birthplace of Lebanon and a very interest development as it relates to the Lebanese Prime Minister asking the United Nations to help seek a permanent truce with Israel. According to Ynet News, Prime Minister Hariri's request comes after Lebanese-based terrorist group Hezbollah toured the Lebanese-Israeli border the previous day, in a show of force that likely prompted him to seek out a quiet front with Israel. Israel and Lebanon's Shi'ite Hezbollah group fought a month-long war in 2006 that concluded with a cessation of hostilities but without a formal peace deal.,7340,L-4951943,00.html

This brings us full circle to the US via Russia and Iran in Syria and this fascinating Op Ed in Arutz Sheva about how Iran is trying to provoke a Russia-US war in Syria. Quoting the Op Ed, “When you boil Syria down to its principal players, there are only three: Russia, the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran. With Assad’s chemical attack, people have been misdirected from the reality by blaming the powerless Assad. But Assad doesn’t move without direct Iranian permission. So, the real question is why did Iran launch a chemical weapons attack? …In order to see why Iran is attempting to foment a Russia/US battle, one has to boil the Syrian theater into the child’s hand-against-hand game of rock/paper/scissors. … Russia is the “rock,” Iran is the “paper,” and the United States is the “scissors.” The writer goes on to explain the geopolitical dynamics, which to me form the perfect prophetic storm in Isaiah 17, and Ezekiel 38 and 39.

-A few years back I put together a graphic showing those who are listed in Ezekiel 38 and those who are conspicuously absent. -The reason I want to revisit this today is that it’s germane to our understanding of the aforementioned perfect prophetic storm. -I would suggest that in just the last two weeks, we witnessed what is arguably an unprecedented shift in this prophetic direction.

On Thursday, The Times of Israel published a report about Nikki Haley urging the UN to shift its criticism from Israel to Iran.  …Since Haley assumed her post in January with the promise that there “is a new sheriff in town,” she has repeatedly chastised the UN for what she says is its Israel obsession and anti-Israel bias. Israel’s Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon, who also addressed the meeting, welcomed Haley’s efforts to redirect the council’s attention. Like Haley, Danon spoke out against what he said was increased Iranian aggression in the region. “Where there is terror, where there is death, there is Iran. Teheran is an accomplice in the atrocities taking place every single day in Syria. …Danon told the council, Iran not only threatens the region through proxies, it threatens the region directly with its continued ballistic missile tests, ...The Iranians have not hidden their intentions. Just two days ago they wrote on one of their missiles: ‘Death to Israel.’” Then, the Times goes on to quote Nickolay Mladenov, the UN’s special coordinator for the Middle East peace process, who said, “Today a perfect storm has engulfed the Middle East and continues to threaten international peace and security. Millions have been displaced in the biggest refugee crisis since the Second World War.

-I’ll end the way we began with the assertion that everything taking place globally has Israel specifically, Jerusalem at the center. -When you peel back all the prophetic layers, as it were, what you’ll find at the core of all that’s happening is the nation of Israel. -It’s for this reason that Israel is referred to as God’s prophetic clock in order to know what time it is in terms of Bible prophecy.

Romans 13:11–14 — 11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

-The question becomes “how” do we “put on the Lord Jesus Christ? This is the most important question we can ever answer. -I’ll explain how, by sharing with you what one has called the ABC’s of Salvation.  The A is for Admit. Admit that you’re a sinner. -The B is for Believe. Believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord. The C is for Call. Call upon the name of the Lord; you’ll be saved.
