Prophecy Update 2017-01-15

Sunday, 15 January 2017

-For today’s prophecy update, I want to focus in on the significance of all that's happened in just the first fifteen days of the year. -The reason being is that if this is any indication of what’s in store for 2017, then it will be a very interesting year to say the least. -While it would certainly be unwise for any of us to make any predictions, I think we would do well to make some observations.

I’ll begin with what is arguably the most significant prophetic development of the New Year, which is that of the unprecedented UN Resolution, and the Paris Peace Summit that is taking place as we speak. On Monday, Haaretz, published an exclusive in which they obtained a copy of a draft of the summary statement that will be released following the conference taking place today. According to Haaretz, it clarifies that the participating countries are committed to resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and emphasizes that “a negotiated solution with two states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security, is the only way to achieve enduring peace.” … The draft also states that conference participants see an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement as having the potential to contribute to the security, stability and prosperity of both sides. … The draft also addresses the role of the Arab states in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. It says participating countries view the Arab Peace Initiative as still valid and believe in its potential for promoting regional stability. The draft also encourages closer cooperation between the Arab states and the Middle East Quartet (the United States, Russia, the United Nations and the EU) in advancing the peace process. ----Here’s the bottom line, they are calling for a dividing of Jerusalem, by way of establishing a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, and they’re calling on Israeli and Palestinian leaders to publicly renounce any of their officials that do not support said two state solution.

Just when you would think it couldn’t get any worse, there’s something even more horrific planned in two days. According to The Jewish Press “…something worse is coming.” Namely, that of the upcoming resolution, buttressed by the document produced in Paris, that’s expected to be introduced and passed on January 17th. That resolution is expected to recognize the state of “Palestine” with its borders fixed along the 1949 (Pre’67) Armistice Lines. Quoting the Press, “…once the Paris Peace Partiers approve the document already waiting for their sweaty signatures, it’s off in a flash to the United Nations for yet another calamity. Why the rush? That’s right. It’s because January 20th is coming. Once Obama leaves office and there’s a new sheriff in Dodge (i.e., D.C.), signing a death warrant for the Jewish State and granting the feverish wishes of the prig-elite who couldn’t be bothered with protecting the hundreds of thousands of Syrians who have been slaughtered on their watch will come to an end. So the rush is to do all possible damage before hand, with as much of it as possible impossible to undo. The whispered fears of another, final anti-Israel UNSC resolution before the end of the Obama era have increased in volume and velocity.

Oh and by the way, to add insult to injury, according to Breaking Israel News on Friday, A Palestinian embassy is opening in Vatican City on the eve of the aforementioned “Evil International Decree.” According to the report, this will be the first Palestinian embassy to be established in a European Union member nation. PA President Mahmoud Abbas met with Pope Francis on Saturday. This will be the third time the two have met. When they met last year, Pope Francis referred to Abbas as “an angel of peace‘. When confronted, the Holy See explained that this was an error in translation and the Pope had actually intended to encourage Abbas to make peace with the Israelis. …Israel does have an embassy in Vatican City, but the Vatican Embassy in Israel is in Tel Aviv. The Vatican has an embassy to Palestine located in East Jerusalem. The Vatican officially recognized a Palestinian State almost two years ago.

Then also on Friday, there was this Times of Israel report on about Syria not only blaming Israel, but also threatening Israel with ‘repercussions’ over the most recent airbase strike near Damascus, which has reportedly killed high-ranking Syrian officials.  Activists quoted by the al-Arabiya news outlet said several high-ranking officials in the regime of Syrian president Bashar Assad were killed in the bombing on the military airport to the southwest of Damascus. …The Lebanese al-Meyadeen news outlet reported that the strike targeted a weapons depot at the strategic base, wounding four soldiers. …The report of Israeli military action was the first in over a month. The last incident also involved an attack on the Mazzeh airbase. In early December Syrian state media reported that the IDF fired missiles from within “occupied” territory at an important Syrian regime airbase outside Damascus. The IDF, which doesn’t comment on foreign reports of military operations, refused to confirm the reports. …Officials in Jerusalem have said they take action to stop the transfer of advanced weapons to terror groups; over a dozen strikes inside Syria have been attributed to Israel.

There’s one more significant development that I need to mention and it’s this Breaking Israel News report concerning Barak Hussein Obama approving Russia’s sale of 130 tons of Uranium to Iran. Kindly allow me to quote from this stunning report. “The Obama administration and the rest of the signatories to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal have approved a shipment of 130 tons of natural uranium from Russia to Iran, rewarding the Islamic Republic for shipping 44 tons of heavy water it sent to Russia after exceeding the limit it could legally produce under the deal. Experts have told US media outlets the amount of uranium to be shipped is enough to produce 10 nuclear bombs.

-Perhaps it goes without saying, but I believe that the prophetic significance of these recent developments cannot be overstated. -I say this for a number of reasons not the least of which is that specific Bible prophecies foretell exactly what’s now happening. -It’s chiefly for this reason that we can make intelligent observations from which to draw certain conclusions about what’s next.

-One such conclusion we can draw is God will not remain silent and sit idly by as the world curses Israel and divides Jerusalem.

Genesis 12:2–3 (NKJV) — 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Joel 3:1–2 (NKJV) — 1 “For behold, in those days and at that time, When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, 2 I will also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there On account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land.

Zechariah 12:1–3 (NKJV) — 1 The burden of the word of the LORD against Israel. Thus says the LORD, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: 2 “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. 3 And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.

-Another conclusion that we can come to is our redemption draws near by virtue of how Bible prophecy is beginning to happen.

Luke 21:28 --Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

John 14:29 --I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe.

-In closing let me say that if you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I would implore you to call upon him today!

Romans 10:9-10 …if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Romans 10:13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
