-For today’s prophecy update I’ll first address what I see as the bad news then share the good news as a result of the bad news. -This because, as only God can, He’s taking that which is meant for evil and working it for good for the salvation of many people. -One of the most profound examples of God doing this is in the life of Joseph, where it seemed evil prevailed for over 17-years.

Genesis 50:20 -But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

-I’ll begin with the first one, which is that of the division in the US passing the point of no return and potentially leading to a fall.

Yesterday we woke up to a government shutdown and “women’s marches” taking place in cities all over the nation. Breitbart published an article about the government shut down in which Pensylvania Republican Lou Barletta blames the Democrats for putting illegal immigrants over American citizens in what’s being dubbed, Schumer’s Shutdown. …On Friday evening, Senate Democrats, including Schumer and Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), along with well as Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), voted against a spending bill to prevent a government shutdown because it did not include amnesty for at least 3.5 million illegal aliens and their illegal alien parents. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2018/01/20/lou-barletta-dems-put-illegal-immigrants-over-american-citizens-with-schumers-shutdown/

Barletta quickly responded to the decision to shut down the federal government for illegal aliens, writing on Twitter: “They’d rather shut down children’s health insurance and military funding to give illegal immigrants amnesty.” He then subsequently tweets, Dems: Illegal immigrants > American citizens.

Matthew 12:25 -But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.

-The second one is whether there’s more to the false alarm in Hawaii and Japan, we’re one “button” away from the unthinkable

Former Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz was on Fox News with Judge Jeanine Pirro saying what many have been thinking as more came out about last Saturday’s false alarm here in Hawaii, namely, that he’s having a hard time believing that a wrong button was somehow pushed. While I in no way wish to get into the conspiracy side of this, I do want to reiterate that regardless of whether or not there’s more to this is consequential in the sense that it’s only a matter of time before this happens.

On Monday, an online member and friend, Kelly Maguire who works for Fox News in New York, reached out to me to be interviewed on The Story, with Martha MacCallum. What was interesting about the interview was that the questions all had to do with the emotions of thinking that you only had minutes to live. It didn’t make it in the interview, presumably in the interest of time, but my response was that my entire family was in total peace because we are secure in our saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

-The last one is Russia and Iran with North Korea are revving up their threats of war with increasing intensity and frequency

The Jerusalem Post published an interesting report about Russia’s rhetoric concerning the Iran nuclear deal. According to the Post, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Monday Moscow will not support attempts by Washington to modify the Iran nuclear deal, arguing such a move could also complicate diplomacy over North Korea's nuclear weapons program. …"If the deal is put aside and Iran is told, 'you keep up with your obligations or we will impose sanctions again', then you have to see it from North Korea's point of view," said Lavrov, stressing the international community should approach the two countries' nuclear programs in the same manner. … In separate comments on Monday, Ali Shamkhani, the secretary of Iran's National Security Council, said Trump's threats to withdraw from the nuclear deal were fanning "Iranophobia" and meant to deprive Tehran of the agreement's economic benefits. http://www.jpost.com/printarticle.aspx?id=536767

To make matters worse, according to Ynet News, Trump says that Russia is helping North Korea get supplies in violation of international sanctions and that Pyongyang is getting "closer every day" to being able to deliver a long-range missile to the United States. https://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-5072638,00.html

-This brings us to the good news, which as I mentioned at the start is the result of the bad news, which only God brings about. -First, many today are turning to Jesus Christ as a result of all the unprecedented events that are taking place in the world today. -Secondly those who do know the Lord are beginning to wake up to the reality of Christ’s soon return for His bride in the rapture.

I found this interesting article in The Daily Mail out of the UK titled, Non-believers call on God when faced with a crisis -despite insisting they're not religious. A new survey has revealed that one in four non-believers pray when confronted by tough times despite insisting they are not religious.  http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5267485/A-quarter-non-believers-pray-faced-crisis.html#ixzz54fr8yzym

Here’s more good news, on Thursday, The Christian Post, published an article about how an Iranian Christian convert led 1,500 Muslims to Christ in Sweden.                                 https://www.christianpost.com/news/iranian-christian-convert-leads-1500-muslims-christ-sweden-214267/

-I’ll bring it to a close with THE good news of salvation in the person of Jesus Christ, by calling upon the name of Jesus Christ.

The ABC’s of Salvation – The A is for Admit you’re a sinner, (Romans 3:23). The B is for Believe, (Romans 10:9-10). The C is for Call, (Romans 10:9-10 13).
