Prophecy Update 2017-10-29

Sunday, 29 October 2017

-For today’s prophecy update, I’m hoping you’ll bear with me as I zero in on something that we’ve looked at in previous months. -Namely, that of the movement afoot, gaining traction and momentum, to destroy the great Satan and little Satan in that order. -This because, America as the great Satan, has to be rendered inconsequential in coming to Israel, as the little Satan’s defense.

-I would suggest the real Satan has met a measure of success in dismantling and destroying America from within and without. -I’ll take it a step further and suggest that it may in fact be just a matter of time before he’s met with total success in his attempt. -The reason I make such an assertion is because of groups like that of Antifa who’s sole goal is to destroy America from within.

-If this weren’t bad enough, in concert with the goal of destroying America from within, there’s the demonic device from without. -Enter, Iran, vis-à-vis North Korea, who I believe we do err greatly in thinking that Kim Jung Un is not to be taken very seriously. -Please know that I in no way wish to create fear, rather, I only seek to create awareness of what’s really happening in the world.

-I’m of the belief, and keenly aware I’m in good company with the belief that the Bible foretold this is exactly what would happen. -Specifically, what the world would look like and be like at the time of the end, prior to Christ’s return in the rapture of the church. -The scriptures are replete with prophecy after prophecy speaking to the world’s condition, spiritually, morally, and geopolitically.

-What I’d like to do for the remainder of our time together, is focus on just on the geopolitical alignment of nations prophetically. -Chief amongst them being the aforementioned Iran and North Korea, as it relates to the prophecies in Isaiah 17 and Ezekiel 38. -Please permit me to argue the case that America is somehow taken out as a superpower prior to or simultaneously with both.

-I’ll proceed with the presupposition that this happens either by North Korea via Iran or the movements within or all of the above. -If this were indeed to come to pass, it would stand to reason that the Iranian and Russian led alliance would then attack Israel. -In order for this to happen, it would also stand to reason that Isaiah 17:1, concerning Syria, would be the catalyst for Ezekiel 38.

I suppose that the question becomes one of whether or not everything is lining up in order for this to happen. To answer this I’ll start with this Times of Israel article in which the US Defense Secretary, Jim Mattis, is quoted as saying that the threat of a nuclear missile attack by North Korea is accelerating. Quoting Mattis, “North Korea has accelerated the threat that it poses to its neighbors and the world through its illegal and unnecessary missile and nuclear weapons programs,” he said, adding that US-South Korean military and diplomatic collaboration thus has taken on “a new urgency.” …“I cannot imagine a condition under which the United States would accept North Korea as a nuclear power,”

It seems, according to Breaking Israel News, that North Korea is already a nuclear power, as evidenced by a peculiar letter to the Australian Foreign Minister, in which the North Korean despot Kim Jong Un stated that his country is a ““fully-fledged nuclear power”. Quoting the report, In an extraordinary manner, the letter was sent via North Korea’s embassy in Jakarta to Australia’s Indonesian embassy. Dated September 28, the letter appears to have been distributed about a week after Trump’s address to the United Nations General Assembly, when he said “the United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea.”

Meanwhile, as the United States is threatening military action against a nuclear North Korea, so too is Israel threatening military action against a nuclear Iran. On Thursday, The Jerusalem Post published a report about how the Jewish state is ready to act alone if international efforts don't produce results. Quoting the Post, Israel has taken unilateral action in the past without the consent of its major ally, the United States, including air strikes on a suspected nuclear reactor in Syria in 2007 and in Iraq in 1981. A strike against Iran, however, would be a risky venture with the potential to provoke a counter strike and roil financial markets.

As the US threatens North Korea, and visa versa, and Israel threatens Iran, and visa versa, then so too is Syria threatening Israel, and visa versa. This according to Ynet News who published the report about how Syria is warning the UN of 'grave consequences' to Israeli fire. Following Israel's retaliatory fire at Syrian targets that fired rockets into Israel earlier Saturday, Syrian FM demands UN rebuke Israel, saying that Israel's response goes against UN Charter; Israel, meanwhile, warns Syria that continued rocket spillover will be met with harsher response. … Meanwhile, during Iranian army Chief of Staff Maj.-Gen. Mohammad Bagheri's visit to Syria on Saturday, the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding in which they agreed up upgrade the cooperation and coordination between their two armies. The Iranian-Syrian collaboration will reportedly focus mostly on training drills, an exchange of combat-centric know-how, intelligence, military technology and anything to do with the two countries' ability to combat terrorism and standing against "Zio(nist)-American schemes.",7340,L-5031606,00.html

-So now the question becomes one of whether or not all the rhetoric and threats will just continue, or is something about to give. -I believe it’s the latter, by virtue of how it doesn’t seem plausible that someone will push the prophetic pause button, as it were. -Actually, instead of the pause button, it seems that everyone is pushing the “fast-forward” button, as everything is escalating.

-It’s for this reason I’ve sense the Lord would have me share the good news of Salvation in Jesus Christ, while there’s still time. -However, I’ve also sensed it’s incumbent upon me to first address the false teaching of what’s known as Lordship Salvation. -Sadly, Lordship Salvation has muddied the gospel with for lack of a better word, prerequisites in order for one to be truly saved.

I would like to recommend one of the best, if not the best articles entitled, “What Is Wrong with Lordship Salvation?” by Dr. Andy Woods. While the article should be read in it’s entirety, I’m hoping you’ll kindly allow me to share with you some of what he writes. --Lordship Salvation is the idea that an unbeliever must commit all areas of his life to Christ as a condition for being saved. Another way of articulating Lordship Salvation is, "if Jesus is not Lord of all then He is not Lord at all." Lordship Salvation began to significantly enter the American evangelical community in the 1980's through the ministries of various prominent theologians and pastors. The movement began with the well-intentioned concern to address too much carnality in the Christian world. However, the proposed solution to this legitimate concern was to increase the sole requirement for salvation in an attempt to argue that carnal Christians were never really saved in the first place since they had never initially yielded to Christ's Lordship. “...repentance, as in a person willfully turning from sin, cannot be a condition for salvation." …repent or metanoeō means to change one's mind about Christ rather than to change one's behavior in order to come to Christ. In this sense, repentance is a synonym for faith. …"With respect to salvation, repentance is a change of mind regarding the Person and work of Christ." Many people look at the Lordship controversy as merely semantics. They believe that this issue has no real significance for practical living or ministry. In actuality, Lordship Salvation introduces at least five problems into the life of a church. As such, Dr. Woods goes on to explain those five problems with an easy to understand clarity.

-It’s with this understanding that I close presenting the childlike simple Gospel of Jesus Christ by way of the ABC’s of Salvation.

The ABC’s of Salvation -A is for Admit you’re a sinner – Romans 3:23 says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The B is for Believe. Romans 10:9-10 says if you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. The C is for Call. Romans 10:9-10 also says if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:13 says that all who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.
